Otherwise you'll have to set up a home gym, with dumbbells, a bench and bars, and plate weights. There are some "all in one" gym machines, though they tend to be quite expensive.
2. Plan on changing your diet. Get it in your head, and mentally prepare for the fact that you are going to have to change your diet. Either you are going to have to eat more to gain weight, or you're going to have to eat less or eat differently to shed the fat and get ripped. This is usually the hardest step and what separates the losers from the winners. People will join a gym and go through the motions, but then they'll go home and feed their bodies garbage and thus not experience results. Or else they won't eat enough and thus won't gain the muscular weight that they desire. Just go for it, for three short months, and watch the transformation you will make.
3. Get a muscle building instructional E-Book that lays everything out for you , so all you have to do is follow the instructions and get big. This eliminates literally years of guesswork. You can go through so much "trial and error" before you figure out the right foods that will build muscle, and the right exercises that will get you big and ripped. Theirs is a ton of confusion out there, so why not cut to the chase, get a manual, just follow what it says, and then become muscular and ripped 3 short months later.
